Project 3.1: Conditional Cash Transfers
About the Project:
Ye’enat Meklit provides conditional cash transfers to mothers, enabling them to improve the quality of childcare for their children. This initiative also offers employment opportunities, integrating cash transfers with skill-building programs.
Achievements:
- Provided 2000 birr per mother to 7 mothers since March 2022.
- Aim to expand the program and integrate it with employment initiatives.
By combining financial assistance with capacity-building engagements, we incentivize quality childcare services and create pathways for long-term sustainability.
Project 3.2: Childcare Training
About the Project:
Unemployed mothers receive training in Early Childhood Education (ECE) through certified courses. These programs help mothers gain specialized skills, enabling them to work in childcare roles at homes or facilities, earning respectable wages.
